Minoans trading and prospering
The Minoans unlike other ancient civilizations gained their power through trade not conquest and they prospered and thrived for nearly 200 years. The Minoans were right in a spot where they could trade with just about everyone thus they learned more from more people and the more they learned the stronger and better it got. The Minoans were discovered by and no one knew exactly what they called themselves so they were named after a great Minos a legendary king of Crete

The Minoans were very artistic people who drew these very beautiful water paintings that were called frescoes and these paintings also were important in telling about Minoan society like the dolphins showed the importance of the sea or a paintings of woman and men strolling through gardens that also suggested that the woman had more rights that those of other ancient civilizations
Minoans disappearance
The Minoans were doing so well that their disappearance was very shocking to everyone, mostly because no one really knows how they really disappeared some say that it was a great volcanic explosion that wiped them out or even a giant tsunami came in and left the Minoans weak and collapsing allowing the perfect chance for an enemy such as the Greeks to come in and kill them all
Mycenaen's trade
Athenian women had no say in political life. Their most significant role was religion, they participated in ceremonies and was considered a man role in the city's well being. On the other hand the Spartan women was training and keeping fit so their babies could come out healthy. So women were held higher in Athenian than Sparta.
Warfare in Greece
A skill called phalanx was formed about 650BC. And phalanx is a massive tactical formation of heavily armed foot soldiers. It required long hours to master and it bonded soldiers with each other. the phalanx also reduced class differences, and the two city states went their separate ways. Sparta stressed military skills and Athens liked political rights and individual rights to citizens.

Like most ancient people the Greeks were polytheistic, which means believing in more than one god.They believed that their gods lived on Mount Olympus.The king of gods was Zeus.And Zeus had three children: Ares, the god of war, Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and Athena the goddess of wisdom, and Athena gave her name the the Athenians.
